You can use the 5P method to become more Spiritual.
Protection. You have to be protected. Take a minute to close your eyes and see yourself surrounded in white light. Be sure that the white light goes all the way around you, above you, and below your feet. Spiritual Protection alone can change your life or ruin a string of bad “luck”. White light is the simplest form of protection. Seriously, if you haven’t taken a minute to visualize yourself Spiritually protected by white light, do it now. You can also put Spiritual protection around your home, car while you drive, or anything else you would worry about. Instead of worrying, you push the worry thoughts out of your head and just protect it.
Peace. You will need to devote some time to mediation each day. You can light a candle if you feel so inclined. We believe that spirits are drawn to candles like a moth to a flame. This is just you time. Put the kids to bed or get up before them in the morning. I know from experience, that in itself is a challenge. Ask anyone else around to give you some time or go to a peaceful spot where you can close the door. You might even be able to find a peaceful spot in nature.
Pray. Once you have your peaceful spot you can begin to Pray. If you have never prayed before just talk to God, Mother God, Angels, your guides, or other passed loved ones. A cool saying I heard one time, “Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when God talks to you.” If you feel inclined, take a pause during or after your prayer and listen. Do not make the mistake of trying to push thoughts out of your mind as the first thing to pop into your mind is usually significant. You will also know what comes from Spirit because it will come into your mind in a second and likely take several minutes if you were to tell someone else.
Peruse. Check out some good books. I know some people like books from Sylvia Browne. She has lots of books to choose from and she knows what she is talking about. I’m currently reading through a book about Shamanism. Examine the metaphysical section at your local book store. If you have a metaphysical store in your area, it is also a good spot to peruse. You might even meet some people there which brings us to our next P.
People. Once you begin to get the basics of being Spiritual from living it and reading about it. You will begin to have questions. You will begin to have stories where Spirit gave you messages and you just have to have someone to tell. You know you can’t just tell them to most people because you will be labeled a nutcase. Look for a good Church and you will surely find some people to help you grow.
